Public Journalism

This is the first blog post I have ever written! I was originally a little bit hesitant about starting this because I really didn't know what to expect or where to start. When I brought up this assignment to friends of mine, I was surprised to learn that many of them already kept blogs! They explained it was an easy way of expressing themselves and organizing their thoughts. I wonder, why didn't I jump on the blogging bandwagon sooner? It's kind of exciting actually! Setting up a blog and getting all the settings worked out was really much easier than I had originally anticipated. All the different options for layout and design make it easy to express unique personalities, though I'm certain people will like the same layouts.

I think this is an excellent way of showing the Internet world who you are. I feel like I have some kind of journalistic importance and the fact that people are going to read this makes me feel a little bit like an actual journalist!
